Brian Raine is a Principal at Arup, a global engineering and consulting firm. He specializes in developing services aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on clean energy, water, and resilient infrastructure solutions. With extensive experience across the project lifecycle, from concept to execution, Brian has been instrumental in delivering major energy and infrastructure projects and product solutions worldwide.

In the 2000s, Brian led Arup's global offshore energy business, cultivating strong client relationships and successfully positioning gravity-based platforms as a valuable solution. His project portfolio encompasses large-scale onshore and offshore endeavors in multiple international jurisdictions. An established author on offshore and onshore energy facilities, Brian is the Engineer of Record and Concept Reviewer for gravity energy storage projects in Texas and China. In 2023, he contributed to the U.S. Department of Energy's review of long-duration energy storage, leveraging his deep expertise in gravity energy storage solutions.

As a civil engineer with a specialization in heavy structures, Brian possesses over 35 years of experience in designing modular solutions. He is committed to developing cost-effective, repeatable infrastructure solutions for the energy sector that prioritize robustness and efficiency.
